Over Memorial Day weekend we headed down to San Diego to visit Kellen and Sarah.
I was so pleasantly surprised that it only takes six and a half hours to get there from St. George!
Not bad in my opinion.
We decided to stop in Newport on our way and spend the night with Karly and James in their new place.
It was adorable.
She had everything all decorated and she had only been there like 3 days!
She amazes me!
We spent the day with them on Thursday...
we took a walk around their new neighborhood,
and then walked our way to the beach!
After our walk,
the boys went to the Angel's baseball game...
while us girls went to Fashion Island for some shopping!
After that we headed to Laguna Beach to have dinner at BJ's.
Of course we had to order the famous pazooki!
It was delicious!
We were really glad to get to spend time with Karly and James!
Now that I've realized the drive isn't too long to get there, they will be seeing a lot more of us!
We miss living close to them,
but we are so glad we got to see them while we were in California.
After dinner in Laguna, we hopped on the PCH and headed down to San Diego.
We got their pretty late in the evening, so we met Kellen and Sarah downtown and went out to a dueling piano bar!
It was a blast!
The guys are amazing...
they can play any song anyone requests!
The next day while Kellen was at work me, Blair, and Sarah headed to Sea World!

| (Blair was the only smart one that wore his swim suit... we did sit in the "soak zone" afterall.. haha) |
I haven't been in years, and it did not disappoint.
We had the best day...
we saw every single show,
and went on the rides!
My favorite show was either the dolphin show, or the Circ show.
Sarah and me secretly want to be trapeze artists! haha!
It was a busy day at Sea World,
and it ended perfectly when we came home and had a BBQ, swam, and hot tubed at Kellen and Sarah's apartment.
I just have to say,
they are the best hosts.
They had their cupboards stocked with food,
extra sheets and towels for us to use,
and they even had extra surf boards and boogie boards!
They are the greatest.
On Saturday we spend the day at the Mission Beach.
It was such a beautiful day.
One of Kellen's friends from his law firm came with us,
which was perfect because we had just enough people to play some good beach volleyball.
After a great day at the beach we came home and got ready for the night.
We went down to the Seaport Village and walked around all of the cute shops.
Then we decided to go eat some Thai food for dinner.
It was amazing!
We are obsessed with Thai food around here...
so we were very glad Kellen and Sarah share our same love for it.
On Sunday we went to church,
then headed up to see the San Diego temple.
It is so beautiful.
Later in the day we headed down to Coronado Island to walk around and go see my cousin who works at the Hotel Del.
He took us behind the scenes and we got to climb all the way to the top turret of the hotel.
We could see everything from up there,
it was amazing!
The Hotel Del is seriously gorgeous, we want to come back and stay there someday soon!
Monday we spent the day at Pacific beach.
We had to leave around 2:00 to head back home.
We were so sad to leave...
we had such a great weekend with Kellen and Sarah.
Hopefully after Kellen finishes law school in Virgina, they will be living out here somewhere closer to us.
We loved spending time with them!!
Thank you Kellen and Sarah for everything.
We love you guys!
Miss you already!
