Blair + Nicole + Bo: Paris!

Welcome to the city of lights!

It was great to be back in Paris! It is as beautiful as I remembered. There is nothing better than the gorgeous white buildings, blue tile roofs, and flower boxes on every window.

We stayed at the Hotel Excelsior, it was staged perfectly for Paris with exposed wooden beams and brick walls.

Once we got ourselves some dinner (at McDonals of all places- we were starving) we headed out to see the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night! It did not disappoint, that's for sure. It is stunning!

We had crepes by the Eiffel Tower and we were all happy campers! The next morning we woke up bright and early and headed to Notre Dame. No matter how many times you have been there, it is always way bigger and more beautiful than you remember. It is amazing!

Right by Notre Dame there is one of the bridges that people lock their love locks onto. We brought a lock, and did it a few days later.

From Notra Dame we went to Saint Chapelle. The stain glass windows are so ornate and beautiful.

Louvre. It is amazing... But as always it is overwhelming and massive! We did the Rick Steves tour, and it was about an hour long which was plenty for Blair and I.

After the Louvre we went to watch the France vs. Nigeria soccer game in the big square... There were thousands of people! It was insane.

After the game we had some dinner in the Latin Quarter, which was delicious. They have these menus were you get 3 courses for pretty cheap! The French onion soul and the chocolate ice cream was too notch. After dinner we headed up to hike the Arc D'Triomphe. When we came up to it, we found that it was closed for the night because the people in Paris were being going crazy celebrating their soccer game win! They were awesome! They were driving circles around the Arc waving flags and honking their horns. We loved it!!

The next morning we woke up early to catch the train to Versailles. When we got there what we saw was daunting...

Thousands of tourists, already in line. Yikes! We figured we were in for a long day-- and at least a few hours of waiting in line. Well, thanks to the babies someone saw us with our two strollers and let us cut the entire line! AMAZING. We figured we saved at least 2 hours in lines because is that. Thank goodness for my sweet nieces! Versailles is gorgeous. Everything is laced in gold and decorated with in grandeous style.

The gardens are amazing as well. It was lightly raining, but it didn't stop us from seeing all ends if the grounds. In fact, after walking clear to the Hamlet/Peasant town that Marie Antionette created for herself when she wanted to pretend to be a peasant, we kind of got lost! Haha! It took us forever to find our way back to the train. But all in all, it was worth it!

16 weeks!

Maddie was feeling pretty restless, and wouldn't sleep in her carrier or her stroller.. But sure enough Uncle Blair worked his magic and she fell fast asleep. We love that little girl so much! She is so precious.

After Versailles we headed to the Musee D'Orsay. It is a museum full of amazing artists like Monet, Manet, and Van Gogh. It was my favorite museum!

From there we headed to the Eiffel Tower to enjoy it for a bit. It's my FAVORITE!

From there we headed to the Arc De Triomphe to climb to the top! Talk about an amazing view. It was gorgeous! We could see all of the land marks. Simply perfect!

The next morning we had to check out at 11, but Blair and I woke up and headed to lock our love on the famous bridge by Notra Dame. It is such a fun little romantic thing to do. We loved it! Of course we grabbed acrepe when we were done!

Then we headed to the train station. Sarah and Maddie stayed with our bags while we walked to Monmarte, and Sacre Coeur. It's quite a hike but it's gorgeous! We loved wandering around the artists quarters and admiring all of their work. Incredible I tell you!
