We took the train from Cinque Terre to Milano Centrale where we got on a train to Varenna. The train ride was unreal! We was all through the mountains and lakes. It was gorgeous! When we arrived in Lake Como we were all in awe. It was stunning!! The huge mountains, deep blue water, and lush green everywhere. It is typically gloomy there-- which in my opinion only adds to the charm. We took a water ferry from Varenna to Bellagio, it was stunning to look back at Varenna as we departed.
Every town is very colorful, with churches in every little town. I absolutely loved Bellagio. It was absolutely charming in every way! We stayed at the Hotel Fioronni. It sat up on the hill. It was a little walk into town, but totally do-able.
After we got settled into our hotel, we wandered into town and found dinner at a yummy pizza place, followed by gelato. The next day everyone went canyoning while me and my mom watched the babies.
They had an amazing time!! Apparently it was insanely cool. There was a lot of jumping, rappelling, and sliding down the canyon. Very amazing!
We kept the babies busy by wandering town and then they napped. That night we ate at a delicious restaurant called La Grotta! They had huge portions-- which is rare in Europe. Blair's calzone was literally massive!! It was delicious. Then we got gelato! We took our time wandering back to our hotel and took in the ambiance of the perfect little town.
The morning we were leaving we took the ferry back over to Veranna. It was raining, but we didn't mind one bit.
We had about an hour before our train departed so Blair, me, Kellen, Gavin, and Libby decided to hike up to the castle. It was quite the hike!! Up and down very mossy steps, across the River, and then up into the town of Vezio. The castle was closed because of the rain, but the town was beautiful!
We hustled back down to the train station and caught our train back to Milano Centrale.
I randomly sat on this train-- which was hilarious!

Travel to Como from Milan is great experience. We decided to take a cruise on Lake Como to 4 hours stunning Regency towns. We went back to the city center has a beautiful square with tons of restaurants. Here you can enjoy the buffet pizza, cold salads, Briskota Italian, good cheeses, meats, and a magical atmosphere. I went there before my boston to Philadelphia tour and enjoyed a lot.
