Baby Moon to San Francisco!

With the baby coming in a few months, we wanted to take a little trip just the two us! We decided on San Fran and we are so glad we did! It was better than we could have ever imagined. Dallas hooked us up with his car, and a place to stay. Talk about a life/money saver! He is the best. We stayed at the cutest house in Palo Alto. They had a guest house in the back yard, and it worked out perfectly for us. When we arrived on Thursday morning we met up with Dallas and he showed us around campus for a bit before he had to head to practice. Stanford is gorgeous.
Then we went and got settled at the Dean's house. So cute!
Once we were settled, we headed right to downtown SF for a day full of fun! We explored Lombard Street, Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf, Ghiradelli Square, and went to Alacatraz. We walked our feet off! It was the best day. San Fran is gorgeous, clean, and the people are fabulous.
The next day we woke up and headed down town again. We rented bikes in the Fisherman's wharf area and rode across the Golden Gate Bridge over to Sauscilito. It was such a gorgeous ride! We actually enjoyed the ride to the bridge, and then off into Sauscilito more than actually crossing the bridge. It was crazy with people, bikes, cars, joggers, etc. while the rest of the ride was peaceful, and beautiful! We grabbed a quick burger, and headed back on the ferry. We loved it! After the bridge we went and saw the Painted Ladies, the houses where Full House was filmed. They are in the most gorgeous neighborhood! After that we headed back to Palo Alto to shower and clean up for the Giants Game. The Gaints game was a blast. They killed the Dodgers and even hit a home run into the cove! It was the perfect game for us to go to. Blair was in heaven, and I must say that I was also throughly enjoying myself. :)
Saturday we dedicated 100% of our time to Stanford, Palo Alto, football, and Dallas. It was a fabulous day spent cheering on the Cardinal and enjoying the Lloyd fam. Palo Alto is a good mix of ritzy and charming! We loved spending time on campus, and we loved wandering the cute neighborhood that we were staying in.
On Sunday we slept in, and then headed up to the Muir Woods. Neither of us have ever been anywhere like it! The Redwoods and the Sequoias are massive and incredible. We were so glad we decided to make the drive up there.
It was such a great trip. We kept saying to each other afterwards, "That was the perfect trip!" Everything went without a hitch: great place to stay, amazing sporting events, saw all of the sights we had hoped to, found easy parking downtown, never hit any traffic, used the trains with ease, had great timing with our shuttles and ferries, Stanford won, the Giants won, the weather was incredibly comfortable, and we enjoyed every second. We LOVED spending time with just the two of us. I can't believe in a few short months the "two of us" will turn into the "3 Musketeers." We are excited, thrilled, anxious, nervous, and feeling beyond blessed.

Cheers to the most perfect "baby moon!" We couldn't have dreamed of anything better.
